Justin Shanken
Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder
Justin Shanken is the CEO and co-founder of Shanken Secure, an award-winning cybersecurity firm providing next-generation services to protect its clients from cybercriminals. He has over 23 years of experience in the global intelligence and security space.
Before starting Shanken Secure, he was a Counterintelligence Special Agent in the U.S. Army and the Department of Defense, where he protected America’s cleared defense contractor industries. With subject matter expertise in cyber threat intelligence, counterintelligence, global risk management, insider threat, supply chain risk management, and corporate security. Justin Shanken has been featured in several publications and hundreds of speaking events.
Justin was awarded the University of Georgia’s prestigious “Alumni 40 under 40” award in 2015.
Scott Sailors
Chief Information Security Officer & Partner
Scott Sailors is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Shanken Secure. He is responsible for securing Shanken’s own systems and also provides virtual CISO (vCISO) solutions for customers. Scott holds several certifications in the field of cybersecurity, including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) and Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), as well as various vendor-specific certifications. He also holds an M.S. and B.S. degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance.
Scott has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, working with advanced technology systems for companies worldwide. He has helped organizations of all sizes to improve their cybersecurity posture by providing consulting services, performing penetration testing, red teaming, compliance and cybersecurity maturity assessments.
Outside of IT, Scott is a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and trains in mixed martial arts.
